NATIONAL DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DURBAN INVITES TENDERS FOR REPAIR, TESTING,COMMISSIONING AND
POSSIBLE REPLACEMENT OF BOREHOLE PUMP SYSTEM
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 1ME or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who 1 ME or Higher
Only tenderers who Satisfy eligibility criteria stated in the Tender Data may submit tenders.
Tender offer must be properly received on the tender closing date and time specified on the invitation, completed either electronically(if
issued in electronica format), or by writing legibly in non-erasable ink. (All as per Standard Conditions of Tender)
Use of fluid is prohibited.
The tenderer shall submit his fully priced Bill of Quantities/ Document(complete document inclusive of all parts) together with his
tender.
Bidder must fully completed, sign, and submit the SBD 3.1 document (pricing Schedule -Firm Prices) with with the quotation. Failure to
fully complete or submit the document may result in the quotation being deemed non-responsive.
Bidder must proof of successfully completed similar work involving borehole pumps, water,pumps, submersible pumps, or pump
control systems via a reference letter of proof of appointment and completion certificate completed within the last three(3) years.
References must be on the client's original letterhead and signed by the Project Manager or other dully authorised representative of the
client.
The Department reserves the right to verify all submitted references.
Bidders must have suitable qualified electrician (trade certificate/ (wireman's licence preferred) or pump technicians/artisan (trade
certificate) with proven experience in boreholes pump installation and repairs who will perform the work.
A valid trade certificate and /or wireman's license and CV must be submitted with the quotation along with proof of employment or
association with bidder.
Failure to submit valid may result in disqualification.
Bidder must confirm availability of suitable tools and equipment required to inspect and diagnose the pump before replacement.
minimum requirement: insulation tester / meger, multi-meter/clamp meter,pump lifting equipment and cable testing equipment
Bidder to submit equipment list or company letter confirming access to required equipment. are eligible to submit tenders.

Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
