DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH WESTERN CAPE INVITES TENDERS FOR ENG2303-2026 WESFLEUR HOSPITAL: ROUTINE
MAINTENANCE OF THE FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM, ACCESS CONTROL LINKED TO FIRE DETECTION AND RELATED
SERVICES FOR 24 MONTHS.

It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 1SF or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who Please note:
1.Tenderers are required to have a CIDB grading of 1SF or higher (Grade 1: Fire Prevention and Protection Systems ) .
2.Tenderers need to be compliant and registered on the Western Cape Supplier Evidence Bank, CSD and on ePS; Tenderers need to
be compliant with the above and tax-compliant with SARS at close of tender.
3.Prices shall be submitted electronically on ePS.
4.Tenderers need to be represented by one employer/member (to accommodate interested Tenderers) at the “compulsory site meeting”
on the date and time stipulated.
5.Tenderers not present at the site meeting will not be eligible to tender.
6.Tenderers must print the attached tender document, inclusive of the BOQ and specifications and bring it to the site meeting.
7.Tenderers to have a registered office and workshop within 50km radius from Cape Town.
8.Copy of the SAQCC Fire Authorized Practitioner cards or a Letter from SAQCC indicating the Name, Registration no and Level of
competency of the Practitioner in the Tendering Company’s name. Practitioners must be registered as Serviceman, authorized to install
and maintain fire detection systems, be able to do all repairs and be on 24 hr standby for emergency callouts. Details of the
Practitioners will be verified.
9. Tenderers who arrive late at the compulsory site meeting will be disqualified

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Engineering Training Centre - Karl Bremer
Hospital, Karl Bremer Hospital, Frans Conradie Drive, Bellville, 7530 on 26 May 2026 starting at 12h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
