PIPELINE AND 6500M OF 200MM DIAMETER PVC-O RISING PIPELINE, WITH ASSOCIATED VALVES, CHAMBERS AND
FITTINGS, NEW FLOATING RAW WATER ABSTRACTION PUMPSTATION WITH TWO SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS, INSTALLATION
OF TWO NEW HIGH-LIFT RAW WATER PUMPS. MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL WORKS TO UPGRADE AND OPTIMISE THE
GUMBI WATER TREATMENT WORKS PRODUCTION TO 1,5ML/DAY, NEW CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS AND ASSOCIATED CIVIL
WORKS, CONSTRUCTION OF 8500M OF 140MM DIAMETER U-PVC RISING MAIN TO HLAMBANYATHI AND GUMBI
EXTENSION.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 8CE or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who Have CIDB Grading Requirement-Minimum 8 CE or higher

A non-refundable tender deposit of R5,000.00 payable by proof of deposit is required on collection of the Tender documents.

Tender documents will be available for collection from 08 to 12 December 2025 during office hours (08h00 to 15h00, on working days)
at the SCM Offices ,at Lot B-400 Gagane Street, Ulundi, 3838, upon presentation of proof of payment (no cash sales). The next
available date to collect tender documents will be from 06 January 2026 to 09 January 2026 during office hours, at the same SCM
Offices .No documents will be issued after 10h00 on and after the day of the meeting. Attendance without the tender document and
Latecomers will not be allowed.
Tenderers wishing to attend the clarification meeting are to strictly adhere to the following procedures:
•Tenderers are required to make a reservation and payment at least two days prior before collecting the tender document indicating the
Tender number and the Company name as a Reference: i.e. ZDM 012/2025-2026 – Company name X and forward to
[email protected] and cc [email protected]. Before 09 January 2025 at 16h00.
•Bidders who wish to collect documents on the day of the briefing must indicate this when making their reservation.
•Tender Documents will not be issued without a reservation.
•Zululand District Municipality will not accept or allow late reservations, and deposits will not be refunded under any circumstances

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Zululand District Municipality’s satellite offices
in Pongola on 15 January 2026 starting at 10h00.
An additional compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Tenderers will be required to travel
in convoy to Gumbi Area for a site Inspection following the Tender Clarification Meeting (Site Location - 27°27'53.81" S, 31°54'39.99"
E). on 15 January 2026 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
