Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply security services for the Jozini Local Municipality for a period of 12 months. The goal is to ensure the safety and security of municipal sites, assets, and personnel through the provision of trained security officers and related security systems.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of security guards for designated sites, including municipal stores.
• Deployment of 12 day shift and 12 night shift security guards.
• Implementation of active tracking monitoring systems.
• Provision of communication equipment such as PTT radios.

The services cover the entire period of 12 months, with specific sites and operational requirements outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of qualified security officers with relevant PSIRA accreditation.
• Implementation of active tracking and monitoring systems.
• Use of communication devices (e.g., PTT radios) compliant with ICASA licensing.
• Provision of necessary working tools and equipment for security officers.
• Adherence to health, safety, and emergency procedures, including evacuation plans.
• Compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards, including PSIRA registration and insurance requirements.

Additional technical requirements include proof of insurance, firearm licenses, and relevant training certificates for security personnel.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in providing security services, demonstrated through appointment letters and references.
• Methodology detailing site control, asset management, and communication systems.
• Qualified personnel with valid PSIRA registration, firearm licenses, and competency certificates.
• Training in riot and crowd control for security staff.
• Ability to develop and implement emergency and evacuation plans.
• Proven track record with previous clients, including reference letters and compliance documentation.
