ZULULAND DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 9 400M OF 1000MM DIAMETER GRP
PIPE WITH ASSOCIATED VALVES CHAMBERS AND FITTINGS.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 9CE.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who CIDB Grading Requirement: Minimum 9 CE or higher
Only tenderers who Experience of similar work and environment: The Contractor must have completed at least 5 Water Projects of
500mm Dia pipelines and over R50m in value
Qualifications and experience of Construction manager / full-time site agent in bulk water supply projects: Qualification: Minimum of
National Diploma in Civil Engineering:
Construction Manager / Site Agent: Relevant Professional Registration with ECSA or SACPCMP with more than 9 years’ or above of
appropriate experience.
GRP Specific experience: The contractor to provide appointment letters for at least two projects of 500m dia or larger for GRP pipelines
and minimum 2km in length
Financial Capability / Resources of Contractor: The minimum acceptable bank rating Code A - firm indication of undoubted
financial standing
are eligible to submit tenders.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R5,000.00 payable by proof of deposit is required on collection of the Tender documents.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Zululand District Municipality on 05 September
2025 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
