INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT TRUST PRETORIA INVITES TENDERS FOR PROSPECTIVE SERVICE PROVIDERS TO SUBMIT
BIDS FOR THE COMPLETION OF WATER SUPPLY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS LOCATED WITHIN THE EASTERN CAPE
PROVINCE
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3GB or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who 3 GB or Higher

Only tenderers who Compulsory Clarification Briefing Meeting will take place at Nonyikila Primary School on the 04 October 2023
@11:00am.
Bid Documents which must be completed and submitted are available for download on IDT website: www.idt.org.za/businessopportunities/current tenders or National Treasury eTender on: www.treasury.gov.za from Friday, 15 September 2023. No bid
documents will be sold. All documents must be downloaded and printed by the bidders from the above-mentioned sites.
Bidders shall meet the following compulsory requirements before being evaluated further on functionality, price and specific goals.

(b)Mandatory Requirements/Documents:
•Required CIDB Grading (3GB or higher) equivalent for the works, CIDB grading to be valid & active. JV’s to submit consolidated CIDB
Grading.
•Valid Letter of Good Standing (Workman's Compensation, COIDA) or FEM Letter of Good Standing. If JV all partners must submit with
Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) Registration Certificate.
•A detailed CIPC document with ALL the original certified ID’s of all directors listed in CIPC within the last 3 months.
•Fully Completed and Signed Standard Bidding Documents (SBDs). All blank spaces must be
completed. Bidders to indicate items that are not applicable. The following SBDs are to be fully completed:
-Invitation to Bid (SBD 1)
-Declaration of Interest (SBD 4)
-Preference Points Claim Forms (SBD 6.1)
•Resolution for signatory.
•Signed joint venture agreement (if applicable).
•Fully completed and signed form of offer and acceptance.
•Completed BOQ (in black pen ink- In cases where only final amount is provided, it will be considered that the total amount is inclusive
of all items on the BoQ and are inclusive of VAT). No erasable inks allowed.
•Acknowledgement of Record of Addenda to bid document.
(c)NB: Failure to comply with any of the above-mentioned requirements will result in automatic disqualification of the bid response.
i.If any of the Directors are in the employment of the state, shall result in the disqualification of the bid.
ii.If any of its Directors are listed on the register of defaulters, shall result in disqualification of the bid.
iii.In case of a bidder, who during the last 10 years has been terminated on previous contracts with the IDT, shall result in
disqualification of the bid.
Non-Mandatory Returnable Documents:
•CSD documents/report (if JV submit both CSDs or for JV)
•Valid Tax Clearance or SARS PIN (if JV each partner to submit either SARS PIN or Valid Tax Clearance Certificates)
•Originally certified SANAS Accredited BBBEE Certificate or original sworn affidavit. Joint Ventures (JV) must submit an original
certified copy of a consolidated B-BBEE status level, by a Verification Agency accredited by SANAS, in order to qualify for points for
their B-BBEE status level as an unincorporated entity and must Sign the JV agreement.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at A compulsory site briefing / clarification
meeting will be held on the 04 October 2023 at 11h00 at Nonyikila Primary School. on 04 October 2023 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Monday, October 16, 2023.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
