Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit bids from qualified contractors for a three-year maintenance and upgrading project of mechanical and electrical installations. These installations include boreholes, pump stations, and buildings within the Beaufort West Municipality's infrastructure.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Maintenance and upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems in boreholes, pump stations, and associated buildings.
• Implementation of upgrades to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with standards over a three-year period.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Contractors must possess a CIDB grading designation of 4ME or higher.
• Participation in a compulsory site meeting at the specified location and date.
• Provision of detailed bid documentation and proof of payment for bid documents.
• Adherence to the evaluation criteria, including achieving a minimum functionality score of 80 out of 100 points.
• Compliance with the Council’s Supply Chain Management and Preferential Procurement Policies.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience and technical capability to undertake maintenance and upgrading of mechanical and electrical installations.
• CIDB grading of at least 4ME or higher.
• Ability to meet the functionality scoring criteria during evaluation.
• Capacity to comply with procurement policies and achieve targeted goals related to B-BBEE status and local enterprise promotion.
