Objectives

To ensure the reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of sewerage treatment and management infrastructure across Department of Correctional Services facilities in KwaZulu-Natal. Scope of Work

The contract encompasses the comprehensive operations, routine maintenance, and corrective repairs of sewerage works plant facilities. Key activities include:

• Day-to-day operational management of wastewater treatment and pumping systems.
• Preventive and scheduled maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and civil components.
• Diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of plant failures or breakdowns.
• Restoration of full plant functionality following faults or extended downtime.

Technical Requirements

• CIDB Contractor Grading: Minimum 3CE (Civil Engineering), with an estimated baseline requirement of 2CE or higher.
• Tax Compliance: Tenderers must hold a valid tax clearance status; non-compliant entities are ineligible.
• Qualifications: Must possess a recognized Civil Engineering Qualification with specialized training in industrial, municipal, and wastewater systems.
• Submission Protocols: Strict adherence to official sealing, addressing, delivery, and assessment procedures. Late or emailed submissions will be rejected.
