Objectives

The Western Cape Department of Health aims to appoint a qualified contractor to execute comprehensive painting works at Laingsburg Hospital. The primary objective is to restore and maintain clinical and administrative spaces to meet health, safety, and aesthetic standards while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing hospital operations.

Scope

The scope encompasses all painting-related activities across designated hospital areas, including surface preparation, priming, coating application, and finishing works. Contractors must exclusively use the official tender documentation issued by the employer and strictly follow all prescribed procedures regarding document sealing, addressing, physical delivery, opening, and assessment. Participation also requires attendance at a mandatory on-site clarification session.

Technical Requirements

• Minimum Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) contractor grading of 1GB or higher.
• Strict compliance with the official tender documentation format; alternative formats will result in rejection.
• Adherence to specified sealing, addressing, delivery, opening, and assessment protocols as detailed in the tender data.
• Mandatory attendance at a compulsory clarification meeting on 28 October 2026 at 11h00 at Laingsburg Hospital.
• Tenders must be physically delivered and received by 16h30 on Monday, 9 November 2026. Late submissions and emailed tenders will not be accepted.
