Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver security services for the Rustenburg Local Municipality for a period of 36 months. Additionally, the tender aims to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards, facilitate efficient service delivery, and promote local economic development through the procurement process.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of security services at the Rustenburg Local Municipality offices and facilities.
• Ensuring safety and security for municipal staff, visitors, and assets.
• Compliance with all relevant legal, insurance, and registration requirements.
• Service delivery for a contractual period of 36 months.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Proof of deposit of R1500.00 for bid document access, with proper reference details.
• Proof of Public Liability Insurance valued at R10 million or above.
• PSIRA registration certificate for the security company.
• Company registration and existence for at least five (5) years.
• Completion and attachment of all mandatory documents, including certificates and registration proofs.
• Functionality evaluation scoring a minimum of 75 out of 100 points.
• Adherence to the 90/10 preferential point system (price=90, specific goals=10).
• Submission of bid documentation on a USB device, scanned and clearly labeled.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Qualified security personnel with PSIRA registration.
• Experience in providing security services for government or similar institutions.
• Ability to meet the technical and legal compliance standards specified.
• Capacity to deliver reliable, professional security services over the contract period.
• Proven track record of successful security service delivery, especially for at least five years.
