Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 100 units of 25-litre containers of Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) 3% concentrate for fire fighting purposes within Vhembe District Municipality. The procurement aims to ensure the municipality's fire safety and emergency response capabilities are adequately supported with high-quality foam concentrates that meet specified standards.

• Supply and delivery of 100 units of 25-litre containers of AFFF (3%) foam concentrate.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the AFFF 3% foam concentrate include:

• Product must be supplied in 25-litre containers.
• Product must be an aqueous film forming foam concentrate (AFFF) with a 3% formulation.
• Contains a blend of fluorocarbon-, hydrocarbon surfactants, solvents, and stabilisers.
• Use of only C6 pure fluorosurfactants in formulations.
• Utilizes film-forming effect to cut off oxygen supply to fires and oleophobic properties to suppress reignition.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in supplying firefighting foam concentrates, supported by proof such as appointment letters, purchase orders, reference letters, and signed/stamped documentation.
• Financial capacity to self-fund or provide a revolving credit facility, evidenced by bank statements or letters from financial institutions within the last three months.
• Compliance with local content and B-BBEE requirements, including submission of valid certificates and declarations.
• Understanding of procurement procedures and ability to meet administrative and technical specifications.
