Technical Requirements

  • Mobilise staff on short notice, including after hours and weekends, with a response time of 3 hours within the municipality.
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are met in accordance with the OHS Act 85 of 1993.
  • Provide necessary equipment such as spades, bolt cutters, ladders, safety gloves, and goggles, and ensure equipment is maintained and available on-site.
  • Carry out demolitions in coordination with SAPS and municipal law enforcement, especially in potentially volatile situations.
  • Provide tactical response and security services, including securing property, assisting law enforcement, and relocating structures and residents as needed.
  • Adhere to specified turnaround times for job completion (normally within 3 hours).

  • Experience in demolition of illegal structures, with a minimum of 3 similar projects completed.

  • Security personnel must be PSIRA registered and hold valid security certificates.
  • Proof of Public Liability Assurance.

  • Availability of appropriate security and tactical response vehicles, including proof of ownership or rental agreements.
