Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable service provider to deliver training services aimed at mastering engineering and construction contracts for eight (08) departmental officials. The training is intended to enhance their understanding and competence in managing engineering and construction contracts, including administering agreements such as FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, and GCC, ensuring successful project delivery within time and budget constraints.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Conducting a two-day training session in East London for eight officials.
• Providing training on mastering engineering and construction contracts, including certifications and continuing professional development (CPD) points recognized by relevant bodies like ECSA and SACPCMP.
• Offering catering services as part of the training package, including morning tea/coffee, muffins, sandwiches, bottled water, full lunch, and afternoon refreshments.
• Ensuring the training provider is registered for the specified training programs, including an advanced ICDL computer course.
• Administering training at a designated venue in East London with appropriate facilities.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Deliver a short course of 2 days on mastering engineering and construction contracts, with certification upon completion.
• Ensure the training provider is registered and accredited for the relevant courses.
• Provide training materials, signed attendance registers, and results documentation.
• Offer catering services, including specified refreshments and meals.
• Guarantee successful project delivery within the stipulated time frame and adhere to the specified specifications.
• Possess the capacity to administer agreements like FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, and GCC effectively.
