Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage suitable and capable service providers to deliver private security services to the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, specifically for the Legislative Assembly in Ulundi, for a duration of one (01) month.

Scope

The scope of work involves providing private security services at the Legislative Assembly in Ulundi for a period of one month. The service includes site inspection and adherence to security requirements as specified by the Department. The service provider must view the site prior to quoting and ensure compliance with all security standards and protocols.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of private security services at the specified location in Ulundi.
• Site inspection prior to submitting a bid.
• Compliance with the Department’s security standards and protocols.
• Submission of a detailed risk assessment before bid award.
• Adherence to the bid submission procedures, including deposit in the designated tender box.
• Registration with the Central Supplier Database and PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
• Participation in the bid evaluation process, including mandatory criteria and phased evaluation stages.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Registered service providers with PSIRA.
• Registered on the Central Supplier Database.
• Provision of proof of enterprise ownership within King Cetshwayo, uMkhanyakude District, or Zululand District, KwaZulu-Natal, for preferential points.
• Submission of relevant documentation such as sworn affidavits, municipal accounts, lease agreements, or letters from ward councillors to support ownership claims.
• Ability to conduct site inspections and comply with security standards.
• Experience in providing private security services is advantageous.
