The University is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Contractor to undertake a comprehensive scope of work outlined below: Maintenance work consisting of repairing, sealing and painting existing metal roof coverings and waterproofing to concrete roofs; repairing and painting plastered external walls, timber and steel window frames and doors externally; painting bathroom and kitchen walls and ceilings; tiling in some bathrooms; replacing shower heads and painting some internal walls and ceilings to the following houses: 1. 1139 Prospect Street: 171m² (4 occupants) 2. 1135 Prospect Street: 150m² (6 occupants) 3. 525 Grosvenor Street: 96m² (3 occupants) 4. 533 Grosvenor Street: 150m² (5 occupants) 5. 1146 South Street: 230m² (5 occupants) 6. 545 Glyn Street: 166m² (9 occupants) Maintenance work consists of removing existing asbestos roof coverings by specialists over two buildings and replacing them with new timber roof structures, metal roof coverings, ceilings, and electrical work where roofs were removed. Repairing and painting existing metal roof coverings over three buildings and repairing and painting all plastered external walls, steel window frames, and doors externally, painting bathroom and kitchen walls and ceilings, tiling in some bathrooms, replacing shower heads, and painting some internal walls. Compulsory Information Session (No site inspection) (Only suitably qualified representatives to attend the Compulsory Information Session) Date 12 June 2025 Time 09h30 Venue SANLAM Auditorium Contractors to present identification at the gate (allow min. 30 minutes for registration) An attendance register will be signed and considered as the mandatory document used to verify that the bidder attended the session. The attendance register shall be closed 10 minutes after the time indicated above. Late arrivals of bidders shall be disqualified from the tender evaluation process. Prospective bidders must read the bid specification document and bring a copy to the information session. Please print the tender document and bring it together with your ID/Driver’s License to gain access at the Security gate.

Tax Clearance Status PIN: SARS Tax Clearance Status PIN(Must be valid for at least 6 months from date of submission & Contractor must be compliant on SARS online verification of compliance status)

Company Registration Document (Copy must be clear): Document Should Reflect The Company Name, Registration number, date of registration and active Directors or Members

Proof of Bank Account: Submit Original Stamped Letter From Bank

Valid B-BBEE Certificate (Sector Specific if Required in the Tender): Valid B-BBEE Certificate from a SANAS accredited verification agency or sworn affidavit as prescribed by the B-BBEE codes of good practice per sector

VAT Registration: Copy of VAT registration certificate. In the abscence of VAT Registration provide a letter with reasons for not being registered for VAT

Proxy: Proxy : Attach a director’s resolution or proxy, authorizing the signatory on the tender documents on behalf of the Service Provider if applicable

Audited Financial Statements: Audited Financial Statements for the two previous financial years

Department of Labour Letter of Good Standing: Valid Letter of Good Standing from the Department of Labour for Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (COIDA)

Completed form of Tender (Annexure B): Signed Form of tender

Active Construction Industry Development Board Membership-3GB or higher: CIDB Registration Certificate

Full priced bills of Quantities (PDF): BoQ to be uploaded in PDF-format
