TRANSNET NATIONAL PORTS AUTHORITY PORT ELIZABETH (PORT OF NGQURA) INVITES TENDERS FOR 8EP OR HIGHER
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 8EP or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who ARE 8EP OR HIGHER
Only tenderers who Whether any technical pre-qualification criteria set by Transnet, have been met:
1.CIDB grading of 8EP or higher.
2.Valid ISO certificate to confirm that the contractor is certified in Quality Management System by an accredited certification body.
3.Eligibility with regards to attendance at the compulsory clarification meeting.
Note: An authorised representative of the tendering entity or a representative of a tendering entity that intends to form a Joint Venture
(JV) must attend the compulsory clarification meeting in terms C2.7.
Any tenderer that fails to meet the stipulated pre-qualifying criteria will be regarded as an unacceptable tender.
Test for Administrative and Substantive Responsiveness
•Whether the Bid has been lodged on time.
• Whether all Returnable Documents and/or schedules [where applicable] were
completed and returned by the closing date and time.
• Verify the validity of all returnable documents.
• Verify if the Bid document has been duly signed by the authorised respondent.
•Whether any general and legislative qualification criteria set by Transnet, have been met.
• Whether the Bid contains a priced offer as prescribed in the pricing and delivery
schedule (Part 2: Pricing Data)
• Whether the Bid contains a Form of Offer and Acceptance. (C1.1: Form of Offer& Acceptance)
• Whether the Bid materially complies with the Scope of work given (Part C3:Scope of Work)
are eligible to submit tenders.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Training Centre, Ground floor, South Arm
Road, Port of Cape Town on 30 September 2025 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 16h00 on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
