MOSSEL BAY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF SEWER PIPELINES BETWEEN MOSSEL
BAY AN HARTENBOS. THE PROJECT ENTAILS THE CONSTRUCTION OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE SEWER PUMP
STATION, A +-110M SEWER RISING MAIN, ALTERATIONS TO EXISTING SERVICES AND ASSOCIATED MINOR CIVIL WORKS.
ONLY CONTRACTORS WITH RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER AND/OR WATER PUMP STATIONS
WILL BE ABLE TO TENDER. THIS IS A MULTI-YEAR PROJECT.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 3CE.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R579.00 payable by proof of deposit is required on collection of the Tender documents.
Payments must be made at the cashiers at the Mossel Bay Municipality’s Main Building, 101 Marsh Street on the Lower Ground Floor
(seaside) prior to collecting the tender document.Tender documents can be obtained at the compulsory site and information meeting or
afterwards from the offices of Royal HaskoningDHV at Suite 101, Bloemhof Building, 65 York Street, George. Documents will only be
handed to prospective bidders who produce a receipt for the payment of the tender document. Tender documents must be reserved
from Mrs Liezel Small from RHDHV at [email protected] not later than 12h00 on Monday 16 March 2020.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL PARTNERS OF A JOINT VENTURE ARE CIDB REGISTERED AND ATTEND THIS COMPULSORY
MEETING. FAILURE TO ATTEND THE MEETING WILL RESULT IN THE BID BEING NON RESPONSIVE.
Please note: The Municipality prefer that Senior Company Staff members or Contract Managers attend the compulsory site meeting as
the Scope of Works, the Design and the Tender Specifications will be discussed in detail along with the Execution phase expectations
and possible amendments. It remains the Bidder’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with and fully understand the tender
specifications to be able to submit a responsive tender.
Prospective bidders that arrive 15 (fifteen) minutes or more after the advertised time the meeting started will not be allowed to attend
the meeting or to sign the attendance register. If a prospective bidder is delayed, he/she must inform the contact person before the
meeting commence and will only be allowed to attend the meeting if the chairperson of the meeting, as well as all the other bidders
attending the meeting, give permission to do so.
Bids will be pre-evaluated on the functionality criteria and bids that score less than 75 out of 100 points will be considered as nonresponsive.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Directorate: Infrastructure Services on
2020/03/18 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, 24 April 2020.
Telephonic, Telegraphic, Telex, Facsimile, Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
