Scope

The scope encompasses conducting a market analysis for a group of chemicals and solvents that are currently not covered by active contracts but are required for future operational use. The analysis includes gathering information on market availability, pricing, and potential discontinuation of items. The scope also involves researching available technologies and gathering data to complete specifications for potential future tenders or procurement activities.

Items covered include, but are not limited to:

• Chemicals such as hydrated lime, sodium hydroxide, salt, soda ash, calcium hypochlorite, copper sulphate, various oils, greases, paints, herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides, and other related products.
• Solvents including acetone, filter aid powders, gasoline, paraffin, oils, lubricants, and aerosol sprays.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that all products must meet relevant standards and specifications, such as:

• Compliance with SABS, ASTM, ISO, and other relevant standards.
• Delivery must be accompanied by Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
