Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure training services for 99 contractors on tendering and cost calculation. The training aims to enhance participants' skills in tendering processes and accurate cost estimation to improve their bidding capabilities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Providing a three-day training program on tendering and cost calculation.
• Training will be conducted across multiple districts, including Joe Gqabi, Chris Hani, Amatole, BCM, Sarah Baartman, OR Tambo, and Alfred Nzo.
• Training materials, manuals, and equipment will be supplied and used throughout the training period.
• Participants will be 99 contractors from various districts.

Technical Requirements

The appointed service provider must:

• Design and deliver a comprehensive three-day training program from 09:00 to 16:00 daily.
• Develop training content, manuals, and training equipment for use during the sessions.
• Coordinate training schedules with the Department of Public Works & Infrastructure.
• Ensure training is accessible to contractors in the specified districts.
• Provide all necessary training materials, manuals, and equipment for the sessions.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments of participants’ understanding.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in delivering training on tendering and cost estimation.
• Expertise in construction or related fields with knowledge of tendering processes.
• Ability to develop tailored training materials suitable for contractors.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills to effectively deliver training content.
• Capacity to coordinate training across multiple districts and manage logistics.
• Compliance with all technical and administrative bid requirements, including certification and accreditation where applicable.
