Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified contractor to carry out interior painting at the Saldanha Clinic. The work is procured by the Department of Health, Western Cape, under tender number ENG2403-2026 (cidb Reference Number: 100120598).

Scope

The scope of work is the interior painting of the Saldanha Clinic. This includes all associated labour, materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the painting works to the satisfaction of the Employer. The successful tenderer must comply with the specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and all conditions set out in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

• Valid cidb contractor grading of 1GB or higher (Grade 1: General Building Works).
• Must be tax-compliant with SARS on the closing date.
• Attendance of a compulsory site meeting is mandatory. The meeting will be held at the Saldanha Clinic Main Entrance, 1 Da Gama Street, 7395, on 27 August 2026 at 14h00. Tenderers who arrive late will be disqualified.
• Tenderers must print the attached tender document, including the BOQ and specifications, and bring it to the site meeting.
• Tenders must be submitted on the official tender documentation issued. Emailed tenders and late tenders will not be accepted.
• All sealing, addressing, delivery, opening, and assessment requirements are stated in the Tender Data.

Skills Requirements

• Valid cidb contractor grading of 1GB or higher (General Building Works).
• Compliance with ePS Commodity classification: 1GB or higher.

• SARS: South African Revenue Service – tenderers must be tax-compliant with SARS, meaning they must have a valid tax clearance certificate or be in good standing.
