GEORGE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR SS-PROEFPLAAS SUBSTATION: PHASE 3.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 6EP or higher.
Only tenderers who meet the following eligibility criteria may respond:
1.A minimum CIDB contractor grading designation of 6EP or higher. The Contractor’s grading must, however, be in accordance with the
total sum awarded to that particular Contractor.
2.Registered on the central suppliers database (CSD).
3.A Tenderer that has successfully completed at least one similar project as defined in the specification in the last five years.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R500.00 payable by proof of deposit , cash or bank guaranteed cheque is required on collection of
the Tender documents.
Tender documents are available at a non-refundable deposit of R500.00 each from the offices of Consulting Engineers, Clinkscales
Maughan-Brown (CMB) at 39 Victoria Street, George, Tel No. 044 874 1511. Payment must be made into the Municipality’s bank

All documents must be ordered at least 3 days in advance, and printed proof of payment must be handed to CMB when the document
is collected. No document will be released without proof of payment, and CMB will not accept any payment.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Committee Room, George Municipal Offices,
Electro Technical Services, Brick Road, George Industrial on 18 August 2023 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, September 8, 2023.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
