Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage suitable and capable print media companies to provide newspaper advertising services for a period of three (3) months for the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Public Works and Infrastructure.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of newspaper advertisement services, including layout, design, and printing.
• Frequency: Once a week over a three-month period.
• Publication in selected newspapers such as Daily News, Mercury, Isolezwe, Witness, and Ilanga.
• Inclusion of classified sections as specified in detailed specifications.
• Ad placement in the specified size (32X5) and in black and white.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Design, layout, and printing of newspaper advertisements.
• Adherence to specifications outlined in the detailed scope (Section L).
• Publication in the preferred newspapers listed.
• Compliance with the mandatory criteria for administrative and technical compliance.
• Provision of proof of publication and related documentation.

Skills and Capability Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in newspaper advertising and media placement.
• Capability to produce high-quality layout and design services.
• Capacity to meet deadlines and manage publication schedules.
• Ability to provide documentary proof of publication (sworn affidavits, signed certificates).
• Understanding of the preferred newspapers’ specifications and requirements.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including B-BBEE status and registration on the Central Suppliers Database.
