Objectives

This Request for Information (RFI) aims to collect comprehensive market intelligence regarding the supply and delivery of pumps and small plant equipment for municipal operations. The primary objectives are to:

Respondents must provide:

• Clear disclosure of supply chain position, with formal written authorisation from an OEM or authorised distributor if acting as a reseller or distributor.
• Current brochures and technical specification sheets for each listed item, highlighting key parameters (e.g., engine stroke type, pump discharge diameters, alternator/engine sizes, drum widths, kVA/CFM ratings).
• Identification of manufacturing origin (local South African production or imported) alongside typical local stock levels versus standard order lead times.
• Detailed explanations of closest market equivalents if exact specifications are unavailable, including functional and performance impacts.
• Information on design adaptability, customisation flexibility, and sourcing practices for ancillary components.
• Indicative pricing structures, primary cost drivers, and pricing differentials between one-off builds and repeat orders.
