Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply, delivery, and installation of additional palisade fencing at the new cemetery in Porterville, on behalf of Bergrivier Municipality. The project aims to enhance security and boundary demarcation at the cemetery site, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the supply, delivery, and installation of palisade fencing.
• Installation of fencing at the specified site within the cemetery grounds.
• Adherence to technical specifications, including foundation depth, hole spacing, concrete quality, and post installation requirements.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during execution.
• Participation in a compulsory site meeting and submission of all required documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• CIDB grading of SQ3 or higher, with valid proof.
• Fencing to be 1.8 meters high, topped with a double forked tongue, with appropriate posts and concrete footing.
• Hole centers approximately 3076 mm apart to accommodate standard 3,000 mm wide panels.
• Concrete strength of 20 MPa, thoroughly consolidated and cured around posts.
• Foundation excavation to the required depth, with removal of excess material and proper finishing.
• Use of qualified personnel with relevant experience and certifications.
• Provision of a Letter of Good Standing from COIDA for health and safety compliance.
• Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, including PPE, site demarcation, and safe conduct of personnel.
• Provision of a detailed pricing schedule, including all costs and VAT.
• Subcontracting limited to 25% of the scope, with prior approval from the municipality.
• Completion of all works within the stipulated timeframe, with penalties for delays.
