UMGENI WATER INVITES TENDERS FOR SUPPLY, INSTALL, TEST AND COMMISSION MEDIUM VOLTAGE (MV) AND LOW
VOLTAGE (LV) SYSTEM AT VARIOUS IZINTABA REGION PLANTS (MPOFANA SYSTEM, MIDMAR SYSTEM, DV HARRIS
SYSTEM, AND DARVILL WWW
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 8EP or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who 8EP
Only tenderers who a)The tenderer completed the Bidders Disclosure Form (T2.2.2)
b)Tenderers are required to achieve at least 35% Contract Participation Goals (CPG) including a minimum 10% Black Women
participation and another 10% for Local participation of the value of goods, services and Works paid to one or more Enterprises (CPG
Partner/s) as agreed with Umngeni-uThukela Water before contract award. Tenderers who are the main contractor are not exempt from
this requirement and are still required to have a CPG Partner.
c)The Tenderer must have an active CIDB grading of 8EP or higher is required
are eligible to submit tenders.
Documents will be issued by email, upon request to [email protected]. Documents will only be issued in electronic format,
during working hours from 08 April 2024 to 12 April 2024

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at MS Teams on 16 April 2024 starting at 08h00.
An additional compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at uMngeni-uThukela Water Head
Office, 310 Burger Street, and Pietermaritzburg on 16 April 2024 starting at 08h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
