Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, install, test, and commission dental equipment for the Phelophepa Healthcare Train, along with providing a comprehensive 3-year maintenance contract. The aim is to ensure the provision of high-quality dental treatment facilities and equipment to support healthcare services on the train.

Scope

The scope includes the procurement and installation of various dental equipment and accessories, such as dental chairs/stools, compressors, autoclaves, water distillers, needle incinerators, curing lights, ultrasonic and piezo scalers, handpieces, digital X-ray systems, and related accessories. The scope covers testing, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance over a three-year period to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with standards.

Technical Requirements

• Dental Chairs/Stools: Equipped with suction, handpiece stations, USB charging, LED lighting, stainless steel foot switches, and sturdy construction.
• Compressors: Oil-free, silent operation, with a discharge pressure of 7 bar, power ratings of 4 kW and 0.75 kW, and flow rates between 3.6 m³/h and 35 m³/h.
• Autoclaves/Steam Sterilizers: Rapid sterilization (4-6 minutes), preset temperature/time, environment-friendly water circulation, safety auto-protection, stainless steel chamber, and automatic shut-off with alerts.
• Water Distillers and Needle Incinerators: Suitable for dental applications, cordless operation for needle incinerators.
• Curing Wireless Dental Lights: Wireless operation, power input options (110V/220V), adjustable water pressure, lightweight design.
• Ultrasonic and Piezo Scalers: Frequency of approximately 28 kHz, adjustable water pressure, lightweight, with fiber optic handpieces featuring DLC coating, anti-heat systems, and durable materials.
• Handpieces: High-speed turbines, contra-angle low-speed, surgical optic handpieces with specified gear ratios, speeds, and body materials.
• Digital X-ray and Monitoring Systems: Intraoral digital cameras, X-ray units, and monitors suitable for dental diagnostics.

Skills Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in the supply, installation, and maintenance of dental equipment, including complex systems like autoclaves, compressors, and digital imaging devices.
• Installation & Commissioning: Skilled technicians capable of correctly installing and commissioning dental equipment according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Ability to conduct thorough testing, calibration, and quality assurance procedures to ensure equipment functionality and compliance.
• Maintenance & Support: Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices for dental equipment, with capacity to provide ongoing support over the contract period.
• Documentation & Reporting: Competence in preparing detailed reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation as required by the project.
