STELLENBOSCH LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR TENDER FOR B/SM 36/25: THE CONSTRUCTION OF
CALCUTTA CEMETERY & MEMORIAL PARK ON REMAINDER FARM NO. 29, STELLENBOSCH
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 7CE or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who The following CIDB class of construction works will be applicable to the Tender, in
accordance with the sum tendered or value determined in accordance with regulation 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development
Regulations, 2004 (as amended) – As of 23 May 2019 - Class of Construction Works: CIDB grading of 7CE or higher and 5EP or higher
is required.
If intended to subcontract, the electrical part of the works, the subcontractor must have at least a CIDB grading of 5EP or higher.
(Please submit the subcontractor CIDB certificates or CRS no with the tender document)
If not subcontracted, bidder must have a 7CE or higher and 5EP or higher.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R3,550.00 payable by proof of deposit is required on collection of the Tender documents.
Tender documents, in English, are available only in hard copies and is obtainable from the offices of the Supply Chain Management
Unit, Stellenbosch Municipality, Town House Complex, 1st Floor, Plein Street, Stellenbosch, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of
R3550.00 per document.
Please note: Stellenbosch Municipality will never contact you to pay money in exchange for the award of the tender.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Stellenbosch Library Hall, Plein Street,
Stellenbosch Central, Stellenbosch, 7600 on 22 October 2024 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Monday, November 11, 2024.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
