MOSSEL BAY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF MR339 – DA GAMA, MARSH, MITCHELL
AND BLAND STREETS IN MOSSEL BAY FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPALITY. ONLY CONTRACTORS WITH
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION OF REHABILITATION OF ROAD WORKS WITH THE EMPHASIS ON ASPHALT
WORK CAN QUALIFY FOR THIS TENDER.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 6CE or 6GB or higher.

Documents may be collected during work hours after 11h00 on 06 July 2023
A non-refundable tender deposit of R528.00 payable by proof of deposit is required on collection of the Tender documents.
AIl bidders wish to reserve a tender document and to make arrangements for collection thereof, it must be done not later than 12h00 on
Thursday, 06 July 2023 from Rachel Botha of SMEC at [email protected]. Documents will only be handed to prospective
bidders who produce a receipt for the payment and who reserved a tender document.
All Bidders, including all the partners of a Joint Venture must be CIDB Registered and attend this compulsory meeting.
Bidders (including all partners of a Joint Venture) who did not attend the compulsory site and information meeting and submit a bid, will
be seen a submitting a Non-Responsive Bid.
Please note: The Municipality prefer that Senior Company Staff members or Contract Managers attend the compulsory site meeting as
the Scope of Works, the Design and the Tender Specifications will be discussed in detail along with the Execution phase expectations
and possible amendments. It remains the Bidder’s responsibility to familiarise themselves with and fully understand the tender
specifications to be able to submit a responsive tender.
Prospective bidders that arrive 15 minutes or more after the advertised time the meeting started will not be allowed to attend the
meeting or to sign the attendance register. If a prospective bidder is delayed, he/she must inform the contact person before the meeting
commence and he/she will only be allowed to attend the meeting if the chairperson of the meeting, as well as all the other bidders
attending the meeting, give permission to do so.
The tender is subject to functionality criteria and bids that score less than 80 out of 100 points will be considered as non-responsive.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Mossel Bay Townhall, 101 Marsh Street,
Mossel Bay. on 12 July 2023 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, August 4, 2023.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
