NATIONAL DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DURBAN INVITES TENDERS FOR REPAIR AND SERVICE TO FIRE FIGHTING
EQUIPMENT (FIRE EXTINGUISHER, FIRE HOSE REEL, FIRE HYDRANT, GAS SUPPRESSION SYSTEM)
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 1SF or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who have a CIDB Contractor grading designation of 1 SF or Higher
Only tenderers who to be awarded to the highest scoring acceptance tender. Points will be allocated for:
(a) Price and Preference points scoring system applicable is 80/20: according to formula in PPPFA: Regulations 2022.
(b) It is compulsory that service providers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database.
(c) Bidder to take note of requirements in PA:16 for allocation of points for specific goal in terms of PPPFA: Regulations 2022.
(d) Bidders to comply with detailed PA-03(EC) and Annexure.
(e) The Department reserves the right not to appoint if a bidder has been awarded 2 or more contracts of similar nature within the
NDPWI in the last three months, for equity & fair distribution of work amongst service providers.
(f) Bidding companies must provide proof that their one employed technicians or artisans are authorized Gas Practitioners, registered
with SAQCC for gas and fire. A valid copy of the SAQCC registration card or certificate together with CV showing two years expirience
in fire equipment must be submitted with the quotation for evaluation. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
(g) Bidders who have done projects with the value from R75 000 and above are required to submit references from previous clients,
including contact details and a brief overview of the service provided. Proof of past experience and successful completion of similar
projects must be included in the form of a letter of award and a completion certificate for evaluation.
(g) Bidders must do an inspection of the above service and complete Inspection Site Form and sign it together with representative of
the facility, bidders who did not do the inspection will be disqualified for further evaluation. are eligible to submit tenders.
