BREEDE VALLEY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR UPGRADE OF THE DE DOORNS WATER WORKS TO
6ML/DAY (CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL WORKS)
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 7CE or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who Only tenderers who are CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) registered, or are
capable of being registered prior to the evaluation of tenders, with a contractor grading equal to or higher than a contractor grading 7
CE or Higher and those who satisfy the eligible criteria stated in the Standard Conditions of Tender and Tender Data (i.e. Clause
C.2.1), will be eligible to submit tenders.
Only tenderers who are registered with the CIDB, or are capable of being so prior to the evaluation of submissions, in a contractor
grading designation equal to or higher than a contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered for, or a
value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, for a 7CE
class of construction work, are eligible to have their tenders evaluated.

•Joint ventures are eligible to submit tenders provided that:
1)every member of the joint venture is registered with the CIDB;
2)the lead partner has a contractor grading designation of not lower than one level below the required grading designation in the CE
class of construction work
3)the combined contractor grading designation calculated in accordance with the Construction Industry Development Regulations is
equal to or higher than a contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered for 7CE class of construction
work or an or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25(1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development
Regulations.
•Who complies with the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Disease Act (COIDA) (proof (letter of good standing) to be
submitted with tender under Schedule 2J).

A non-refundable tender deposit of R230.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
A non-refundable fee of R230.00 (Two Hundred and Thirty Rand) for each set of documents, payable to the Breede Valley Municipality,
is required on collection of the bid documents. Cash deposits and EFT’s will be accepted. Please note: The R230.00 is only payable if
you collect the documents in hard copy from our offices. Documents are also electronic available upon request, free of charge, as the
printing costs are for the bidder’s own account.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at De Doorns Committee Room, 4 La Rochelle
Steet, De Doorns, on 08 December 2025 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
