MOSSEL BAY LOCAL MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR THE UPGRADING OF A STORMWATER WATERCOURSE AT A
FEROX STREET IN DANABAAI. ONLY CONTRACTORS WITH RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION OF SIMILAR OR
COMPARABLE REINFORCED CONCRETE RETAINING STRUCTURES CAN QUALIFY FOR THIS TENDER. A PORTION OF THE
WORK WILL BE SUB-CONTRACTED TO A LOCAL EME, QSE OR LEVEL 1 B-BBEE REGISTERED CONTRACTOR WITH A CIDB
GRADING OF 1CE AND WHO IS REGISTERED ON THE CONTRACTOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME DATABASE. THE
AMOUNT OF WORK REPRESENTS APPROXIMATELY FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE WORK. CONTRACTOR TO USE LOCAL
LABOURERS ACCORDING TO THE EPWP METHOD AND REGULATIONS. THIS IS A MULTI-YEAR PROJECT FOR THE PERIOD
ENDING 30 JUNE 2027.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 4CE or higher.
A non-refundable tender deposit of R1,058.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
A set of fully completed tender documents must be submitted on the original documents and remain valid for one-hundred and twenty
(120) days after the closing date of the tender.
ALL BIDDERS, including ALL THE PARTNERS OF A JOINT VENTURE MUST BE CIDB REGISTERED AND ATTEND THIS
COMPULSORY SITE AND INFORMATION MEETING.
BIDDERS (including all partners of a Joint Venture) WHO DID NOT ATTEND THE COMPULSORY SITE AND INFORMATION
MEETING AND SUBMIT A BID, WILL BE SEEN AS SUBMITTING A NON-RESPONSIVE BID.

later than 12h00 on Friday, 01 August 2025 from Mrs Sonette Alberts from V3 Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd at telephone (044) 6912305 or at [email protected] and will only be made available at the site and information meeting. Documents will only
be handed to bidders who reserved a document and who produce a receipt for the payment of the tender document.

Functionality criteria and weight:
1.Relevant experience in the construction of similar or comparable reinforced concrete retaining structures carrying a weight of 50
points.
2.Relevant references in the construction of similar or comparable reinforced concrete retaining structures carrying a weight of 30
points.
3.Relevant experience on similar or comparable projects of key staff to be employed on this project carrying a weight of 20 points.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Dana Bay Community Hall, Distans Street
(Coordinates 34°11'37.49"S 22° 2'43.01"E). on 07 August 2025 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 12h00 on Friday, August 29, 2025.
Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
