NATIONAL DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DURBAN INVITES TENDERS FOR ONCE-OFF PREVENTATIVE AND DAY TO
DAY MAINTENANCE OF PORTABLE FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT IN STATE BUILDING
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 1SF or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who have a CIDB Contractor grading designation of 1 SF or Higher
Only tenderers who to be awarded to the highest scoring acceptance tender. Points will be allocated for:
(a) Price and Preference points scoring system applicable is 80/20: according to formula in PPPFA: Regulations 2022.
(b) It is compulsory that service providers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database.
(c) Bidder to take note of requirements in PA:16 for allocation of points for specific goal in terms of PPPFA: Regulations 2022.
(d) Bidder must submit a minimum of three (3) reference letters or proof of appointment and completion for similar portable fire
equipment servicing work completed within the last three (3) years
- References must be on the client's original letterhead and signed by the Project Manager or other duly authorised representative of
the client.
- The Department reserves the right to verify all submitted references.
(e) Bidders must provide proof that the technicians/artisans who will perform the work are registered with SAQCC Fire as competent fire
equipment technicians.
- A valid SAQCC registration card and/ or certificate must be submitted with quotation.
- Failure to submit valid proof may result in disqualification.
(f) Bidder must fully complete, sign and submit the SBD3.1 document (price Schedule - Firm Prices) with the quotation. Failure to fully
complete or submit the document may result in the quotation being deemed non-responsive. are eligible to submit tenders.

Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
