Description: The Buffalo City Metropolitan Development Agency (BCMDA) is a municipal entity wholly owned by the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality and established in terms of S76 of the Municipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000, as amended.

The primary Mandate of the BCMDA is to attract investments to the Metro, thereby increasing growth in tourism, economic- and social development. The primary Vision of the BCMDA is to create a welcoming yet competitive Metro with ample opportunities for all people to invest, work, play and live.

The primary Mission of the BCMDA is to improve the Metro through facilitating and undertaking development initiatives for the benefit of all citizens.
