Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a 6-month cleaning contract for Khandisa Clinic, ensuring the provision of cleaning services with personnel and cleaning materials. The contract aims to maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and cleanliness within the clinic premises, supporting the Department of Health's goal of providing a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of cleaning services at Khandisa Clinic for a period of six months.
• Deployment of personnel (5 staff members) to perform cleaning duties across various areas of the clinic, including clinical and non-clinical zones.
• Use of specified cleaning materials and equipment, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
• Participation in a compulsory site visit and briefing session.
• Collection and submission of quotations via the designated channels.
• Compliance with technical, legal, and procurement requirements as outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender encompass:

• Provision of personnel: 5 trained cleaning staff members with proof of infection control training, vaccination (e.g., Hepatitis), and adherence to safety protocols.
• Use of color-coded cleaning equipment (mops, cloths, buckets, aprons) as per hospital standards.
• Provision of cleaning materials and equipment, including vacuum cleaners, high-pressure cleaners, buckets, microfibre cloths, spray bottles, and disinfectants, compliant with SABS standards.
• Implementation of cleaning routines including routine cleaning, reactive cleaning (spillages, bodily fluids), window cleaning, waste removal, and disinfection of surfaces and equipment.
• Adherence to specified cleaning schedules, including high dusting, cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas, and waste management.
• Compliance with infection control policies, health and safety regulations, and departmental standards.
• Participation in compulsory site inspection and briefing session scheduled for 19/08/2025 at 10:00 at Ngwelezana Clinic.
• Submission of all required documentation, including company registration, good standing certificates, and preference claim forms.
• Provision of a detailed staffing establishment plan, including shift arrangements and responsibilities.
