Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure an 18.5kW, 380V-Variable Speed Drive to meet the specified technical and operational requirements. Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of one (1) unit of 18.5kW, 380V-Variable Speed Drive.
• The product must meet the specified performance range: Power: 18.5kW / 25HP, Voltage: 380V, 3 Phase, Current: 40A.
• Provision of all necessary documentation such as specifications, catalogues, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and data sheets.
• Compliance with procurement procedures and submission of required documents via the designated procurement portal.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the variable speed drive are as follows:

• Power: 18.5kW / 25HP
• Voltage: 380V, 3-phase
• Current: 40A
• Performance Range: Power capacity of 18.5kW / 25HP

The product must be suitable for operational use within the specified voltage and power range, ensuring efficiency and reliability in performance.

Skills and Certification Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with the following:

• Provision of a valid BBBEE certificate showing at least 51% black ownership for preference points allocation.
• Provision of a BBBEE certificate showing at least 30% women ownership for additional preference points.
• For disability considerations, a doctor’s note confirming disability, or equivalent documentation from the Department of Labour.
• Completion and submission of the SBD4 Bidder’s Disclosure form, certifying transparency and compliance with procurement regulations.
• Foreign or international companies must complete SBD1 documentation.
• South African companies must provide a CSD report not older than 2 months, confirming registration, activity status, and tax compliance.

Additionally, bidders should possess relevant technical expertise in supplying variable speed drives and be capable of providing necessary documentation and support for the product.
