Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 50 units of 24ga 2.5cm arterial catheters that meet specified standards for invasive blood pressure monitoring in critically ill children at Grey's Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement process involves submission of compliant quotations, adherence to technical and administrative requirements, and delivery within the stipulated contract period to Grey's Hospital, Pietermaritzburg.

Technical Requirements

• Item: 24G 2.5cm arterial catheter with radiopaque PEBA material, integrated extension, and suture wing.
• Additional components:
  • Spring-wire guide marked .018" (0.46 mm) diameter, 25 cm length, straight soft tip on both ends.
  • Sterile, latex-free, individually packed, with expiry date.
• Size and specifications must conform to the attached detailed specifications, including:
  • Catheter length: 2.5 cm
  • Material: Radiopaque PEBA
  • Priming volume: 0.14 ml
• All supplied items must meet quality standards, be sterile, and comply with relevant medical device regulations.
• Samples may be required for evaluation prior to final selection.
