Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a 3-year contract for the maintenance and servicing of drainage systems at Phoenix Mortuary. The contract aims to ensure the proper functioning, preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs of drainage infrastructure, including stormwater reticulation, to support the operational needs of the facility and prevent blockages or failures.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Preventative maintenance activities such as jetting and cleaning of stormwater drainage systems on a monthly and semi-annual basis.
• Reactive maintenance and repairs, including sourcing materials and spare parts with specified markup rates.
• Provision of suitable jetting equipment (e.g., 21 L/min, 18,000 kPa machine) and other tools required for drainage cleaning.
• Site inspections, reporting, and coordination with facility management.
• Disposal of redundant materials and spare parts following repairs.
• Compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards during execution.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the drainage jetting equipment include:

• Jetting machine with 21 Litres per minute flow rate and 18,000 kPa pressure mounted on truck/trailer.
• Fuel tank capacity of at least 20 litres.
• Cleaning lines ranging from 50 mm to 180 mm diameter.
• Minimum water capacity of 500 litres polyethylene tank with supply hose.

Additional technical evaluation criteria include:

• Proof of CIDB Category 2SO or above registration.
• Experience in similar projects with relevant references.
• Provision of proof of ownership or hire agreement for the jetting machine.
• Demonstration of compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must possess:

• Qualified personnel with certified plumbing trade test certificates, especially for key technical managers or supervisors.
• Experience in operating high-pressure jetting equipment and performing drainage maintenance.
• Capability to develop and implement inspection, testing, and maintenance plans.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Ability to coordinate site activities, report on progress, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
