Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supply of 5mm bladed dilating tip bladed trocars, including associated stability sleeves, for use in gynecological laparoscopic procedures at Greys Hospital. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of sterile, compatible surgical instruments that meet specified standards and specifications to facilitate safe and effective minimally invasive surgeries.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of:

• 6 units per box of 5mm bladed dilating tip bladed trocars with stability sleeves (100mm length, sterile, compatible with the specified sleeves, Optiview technology).
• 6 units per box of 5mm stability sleeves (100mm length, sterile, compatible with the bladed trocars).

The items are intended for use in gynecological laparoscopic surgeries, ensuring compatibility and adherence to the detailed specifications provided in the annexure.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• 5mm diameter, 100mm length, sterile bladed dilating tip bladed trocars with Optiview technology.
• Stability sleeves of 5mm diameter, 100mm length, sterile, compatible with the trocars.
• Items must be sterile, of recent design, and conform to the attached detailed specifications.
• Items must be compatible with each other (bladed tips with sleeves).
• Supplied items must meet the quality standards specified, including sterility and safety features such as anti-fogging technology.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Bidder qualifications should include:

• Proof of manufacturing or authorized distribution of surgical instruments meeting the specified technical standards.
• Evidence of compliance with sterilization and safety standards applicable to medical devices.
• Ability to supply the specified quantity within the stipulated delivery period (e.g., 12-month contract).
• Provision of samples for evaluation, if required, demonstrating adherence to specifications.
• Compliance with procurement legislation, including disclosure of interests and adherence to the Department’s procurement policies.
• Registered status on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and valid tax compliance status.
