Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the annual maintenance of fire pumps and booster pumps at Mosvold Hospital. The aim is to ensure the operational efficiency, safety, and longevity of critical fire safety equipment through scheduled servicing and maintenance.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing annual servicing of fire pumps, booster pumps, and circulation pumps as per the detailed specifications.
• Providing written reports on the condition of equipment post-service.
• Submitting signed job cards and maintenance reports.
• Carrying out repairs or repairs quotations for any equipment found out of schedule or requiring additional work.
• Adhering to the scheduled service dates and reporting any issues immediately.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• The service must comply with the detailed specifications provided in the annexure, including checks on power connection, indicator lights, circuit breakers, gauges, valves, and operational testing of pumps.
• Qualified personnel must perform the maintenance, including certified fitters or millwrights with valid proof of qualification.
• All work must be documented with signed reports, job cards, and service reports.
• Equipment must be serviced according to the schedule, with any out-of-schedule work requiring prior approval and quotation.
• All materials and parts used must meet specified standards and be properly documented.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Registration as a Mechanical (ME) Contractor.
• Valid tax clearance and B-BBEE certification.
• Certified copies of qualified fitters or millwrights not older than three months.
• Experience in maintenance and servicing of fire pumps, booster pumps, and circulation pumps.
• Ability to produce detailed reports, signed job cards, and compliance documentation.
• Capacity to respond promptly to service requests and provide quotations for additional repairs.
