The primary objective of this tender is to appoint service providers for the supply, delivery, and off-loading of firefighting reciprocating saws and chain saws on an as-and-when-required basis. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of reliable firefighting tools to support emergency services within the City of Ekurhuleni, with a transaction value up to R750,000 including VAT, until 30 June 2027 or until a formal tender process is in place.
The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and off-loading of specific firefighting equipment, namely reciprocating saws (battery operated and electric) and chain saws, on an as-needed basis. The contract covers multiple items as specified in the bid documents, with the possibility of awarding to more than one bidder. The procurement is for the City of Ekurhuleni’s Emergency Services department, with the contract duration until 30 June 2027 or until a formal tender is established.
