Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver electrical spares as specified, ensuring the procurement of quality electrical components to meet the needs of Bela-Bela Local Municipality. The tender aims to establish a contractual agreement with a qualified supplier capable of providing the specified electrical parts efficiently and in compliance with technical and administrative requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various electrical spares, including items such as three-phase conductors, switches, relays, breakers, and related accessories. The procurement is limited to items listed under the specifications section, with an estimated total value not exceeding R50,000,000. The scope also includes adherence to specified technical standards, submission of necessary documentation, and compliance with municipal procurement policies.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of specified electrical components such as ABB three-phase conductor switches, overload relays, light arrestors, timer switches, circuit breakers, and switches as detailed in the specifications.
• Items must meet the technical specifications outlined, including voltage ratings, capacity, and compatibility with existing electrical systems.
• All goods must conform to relevant South African standards and specifications provided in the tender documentation.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with quality standards and relevant certifications.
• Items must be new, unused, and of the latest models or current standards.
• Delivery must be in accordance with the delivery schedule specified in the contract, including proper packaging and documentation.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying electrical spare parts and components to municipal or similar entities.
• Knowledge of South African electrical standards and procurement policies.
• Ability to provide technical support, documentation, and after-sales service.
• Competence in managing logistics and timely delivery of electrical components.
• Capability to comply with administrative and legal requirements, including submission of all necessary documentation such as company registration, tax compliance, and municipal accounts.
• Understanding of the supply chain management policies and preference point systems applicable under the regulations.
