Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider capable of delivering window cleaning services for a period of 12 months to the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS). The goal is to ensure professional, safe, and consistent window cleaning across specified facilities, adhering to technical and safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes providing window cleaning services at NHLS premises located at 1 Modderfontein Road, Sandringham, Johannesburg. The service encompasses cleaning windows at various heights, using approved methods, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met. The contract covers all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the complete execution of the window cleaning tasks over the 12-month period.

Technical Requirements

• Methods for cleaning windows at heights exceeding 10 meters must be clearly specified.
• Services must be limited to window cleaning only; no additional services such as hygiene are accepted.
• Experience in window washing, with proof of similar contracts awarded within the past 5 years.
• Staff working at heights must be trained and certified for working at such heights.
• Liability insurance coverage must be provided.
• A valid letter of good standing from the Compensation Commissioner is required.
• Compliance with safety standards and use of appropriate equipment, including extension ladders.
