Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure school uniforms for boys and girls, including various related apparel and accessories, in accordance with the specifications outlined in the annexures. The process aims to ensure compliance with local content requirements, support local suppliers, and facilitate transparent and fair procurement procedures.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of a comprehensive range of school uniform items for both boys and girls, including shoes, socks, pants, shirts, jerseys, undergarments, vests, ties, tracksuits, school bags, raincoats, gumboots, blazers, sportswear, and related accessories. The procurement covers all related local and imported content, with detailed declarations and supporting schedules as specified in the annexures.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of detailed declarations of local content and imported content as per Annexures C, D, and E.
• Compliance with specified product descriptions, quality standards, and packaging specifications.
• Accurate calculation and declaration of local and imported content, including landed costs, freight, duties, and other landing costs.
• Submission of supporting schedules for imported content, foreign currency payments, and local procurement details.
• Adherence to the specified local content percentages and documentation requirements for verification.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Expertise in textile, clothing, leather, and footwear manufacturing and supply.
• Ability to accurately compile and submit detailed declarations and supporting documentation related to local and imported content.
• Financial and logistical capacity to handle international procurement, including foreign currency transactions and importation processes.
• Experience in managing large-scale procurement projects within the education sector.
• Compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to local content and import/export procedures.
