Objectives

The primary objectives of this tender are to invite quotations for various services and projects within the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, including security services at multiple locations, feasibility studies for truck staging areas, refurbishment of swimming pools and buildings, and supply of equipment. The aim is to procure qualified service providers and suppliers to meet the municipality's operational needs for a period of three months.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the following:

• Provision of security guarding services at specified locations such as Kuni Pump Station, Mdantsane, swimming pools, water treatment plants, and other facilities.
• Appointment of a service provider to conduct a feasibility study for establishing and operating a truck staging area at the BCMM Fresh Produce Market.
• Refurbishment works including water pool refurbishment at Joan Harrison Swimming Pool and refurbishment of the Queens Building (Cemeteries Department).
• Supply and delivery of equipment, specifically lawn trimming equipment.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of security services on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week, for a duration of three months (90 days).
• Conducting a feasibility study for truck staging, including site assessment and reporting.
• Refurbishment of specified facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and quality specifications.
• Delivery of specified equipment within the stipulated timeframe.
• Participation in briefing sessions as scheduled, with bidders not allowed after the specified times.

• Experience in security guarding and surveillance services, with the ability to operate effectively across multiple sites.
