Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to invite quotations for various services and supply of equipment to Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. These include security guarding services, supply and delivery of tools and equipment, renewal of subscription licenses, upgrading of caretaker houses, installation of swimming pool panels, supply of poultry and piggery farm inputs, refurbishment of office spaces, and provision of equipment and machinery for SMMEs and cooperatives.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of security guarding services at multiple locations for a period of 3 months (90 days).
• Supply and delivery of tools and equipment for ward cleaning and beautification in Ward 03.
• Renewal of enterprise subscription licenses with support for one year.
• Upgrading of caretaker houses at Litha Cemetery as per specifications.
• Installation of galvanized, coated black view panels and removal of old slabs/fence at Mdantsane Swimming Pool.
• Supply and delivery of production inputs for poultry and piggery farms.
• Refurbishment of office spaces at Qonce Business Support Centre.
• Supply of equipment and machinery tailored for SMMEs and cooperatives.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Security services must operate 24/7 at specified locations for 3 months.
• Tools and equipment must meet the specified standards for ward beautification.
• Subscription licenses should include enterprise plus features with 24/7 support.
• Caretaker houses must be upgraded according to detailed specifications, including 1GB or higher internet connectivity.
• Galvanized, coated, black view panels must be of 1 square meter size, suitable for swimming pool fencing.
• Inputs for poultry and piggery farms must meet agricultural standards.
• Office refurbishment involves upgrading spaces to meet business support requirements.
• Equipment and machinery must be suitable for small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) and cooperatives.

Skills Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Experience in security guarding and surveillance services.
• Capability to supply and install construction and fencing materials.
• Technical expertise in IT subscriptions, licensing, and support services.
• Skills in building refurbishment, carpentry, and electrical works for office upgrades.
• Knowledge of agricultural inputs and farm supplies.
• Competence in project management for infrastructure upgrades and installations.
• Ability to coordinate with municipal officials and adhere to technical specifications and safety standards.
