Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to conduct annual infrared scanning of equipment across various areas at uShaka Marine World. This includes inspecting approximately 227 electrical panels, distribution boards, transformers, MCC panels, and HVAC panels to ensure electrical safety and operational integrity.

Scope

The scope encompasses the following:

• Performing infrared thermographic inspections on all specified electrical equipment located in multiple areas within uShaka Marine World.
• Conducting the scans over a period that includes a 3-day labor provision, including travel and related costs.
• Providing comprehensive reports (including FLIR reports) and safety documentation post-inspection.
• Coordinating with the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Department to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Infrared thermographic inspection of approximately 227 electrical panels, distribution boards, transformers, MCC panels, and HVAC panels.
• Provision of a detailed FLIR report documenting findings.
• Preparation of a safety file related to the inspections.
• Adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act No.85 of 1993 during all inspection activities.
• Provision for 3 days of labor, including travel costs, to complete the inspections.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Proficiency in thermographic inspection techniques and the use of FLIR thermal imaging equipment.
• Experience in conducting electrical equipment inspections in large facilities.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations relevant to electrical inspections.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports and safety documentation.
• Effective coordination skills with internal departments such as HSE.
