Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to conduct annual inspection, repair, testing, and certification of lifting equipment. The service aims to ensure all lifting equipment complies with safety standards, remains operational, and is properly certified over a 24-month period.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Inspection, repair, testing, and certification of all lifting equipment in line with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
• Quarterly service and testing of each unit over a period of 24 months, to be completed within 3 working days per inspection cycle.
• Specific equipment such as chain blocks, crawl beams, electric hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other lifting devices as detailed in the equipment list.
• Engagement with department heads for daily work approval and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Post-work cleaning and tidying of work areas, with additional repairs and parts supplied and quoted separately.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of references for similar services conducted within the last 12 months, with at least two traceable reference letters.
• Insurance coverage for goods supplied, against loss or damage, until full completion and sign-off.
• Inspections must be carried out by a "Registered Lift Inspector" accredited by an approved professional body, with proof of registration provided.
• All work must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant regulations.
• Engagement with department heads prior to work commencement and adherence to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and site briefing attendance.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for the service provider include:

• Registered Lift Inspector accreditation from an approved professional body.
• Experience in inspecting, repairing, and certifying a variety of lifting equipment such as chain blocks, crawl beams, electric hoists, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Ability to provide traceable references for similar services performed within the last year.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations related to lifting equipment.
• Capability to coordinate with department heads and adhere to safety and operational protocols.
