Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure an annual service for Hydroboils within Ladysmith Hospital to ensure their proper functioning, safety, and compliance with standards. The service aims to maintain the Hydroboils used across various departments, including tea rooms, wards, theatres, and other hospital facilities, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely for staff and patients.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Providing an annual maintenance and servicing of 47 Hydroboils located throughout Ladysmith Hospital.
• Inspection and testing of elements such as wiring, thermostats, probes, and inner components.
• Descaling and checking all electrical wiring and isolators.
• Ensuring all Hydroboils meet the specified quality standards and specifications.
• Completing service reports and certification confirming the service was carried out.

The service covers multiple locations within the hospital, including tea rooms, wards, theatres, pharmacy, and other designated areas.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the service include:

• Inspection of wiring, wiring elements, and thermostats.
• Checking probes and performing descaling procedures.
• Verifying the functionality of all inner components.
• Inspecting electrical wiring and isolators for safety and compliance.
• Providing proof of work completion via certificates.
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the annexure, including size, color, and material standards.
• Compliance with quality standards and the hospital’s detailed specifications.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must possess:

• Qualified artisans or technicians with experience in servicing electrical appliances, specifically Hydroboils.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, thermostats, probes, and descaling procedures.
