Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure an annual service for all sewer lines in St Marys Marianhill Hospital. The service aims to ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of the hospital's sewer reticulation system through regular jetting and cleaning, preventing blockages and ensuring sanitation standards are maintained.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Servicing and cleaning of all sewer lines within the hospital premises, specifically a sewer line length of approximately 1000 meters.
• Use of appropriate high-pressure jetting equipment mounted on trucks or trailers, capable of delivering 21 liters per minute at 18,000 kPa.
• Provision of necessary tools and equipment, including high-pressure nozzles and hoses (up to 80 meters long).
• Ensuring the sewer system is maintained in optimal condition to prevent blockages and facilitate smooth waste flow.
• Adherence to specified standards and quality requirements, including CIDB 1SO.

Technical Requirements

• Use of jetting equipment capable of delivering 21L/min at 18,000 kPa pressure.
• Jetting hose length of at least 80 meters.
• Provision of a polyethylene water tank with a minimum capacity of 500 liters.
• Availability of at least four different high-pressure jetting nozzles (e.g., Flounder, Scraper, Grenade bomb, Bulldog).
• Compliance with CIDB 1SO standards.
• Proper tools and safety equipment for the servicing process.
• Adherence to the attached specifications and annexures, including quality standards and detailed scope.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified and experienced personnel with proven expertise in sewer jetting and maintenance services.
• Technical knowledge of high-pressure jetting equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialized jetting machinery and accessories.
• Capability to adhere to hospital safety and environmental standards during service delivery.
• Competence in following technical specifications and quality standards as outlined in the tender documents.
• Experience in similar sewer maintenance projects, demonstrated through references or previous contracts.
