Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of qualified catering service providers to deliver catering services to ERWAT on an "as-and-when" required basis. The aim is to ensure high-quality, professional catering that meets ERWAT’s operational needs, supports fair and transparent procurement, and encourages local economic development and transformation, including participation of SMMEs and disadvantaged groups.

Scope

ERWAT seeks to establish a panel of catering providers capable of delivering a wide range of catering services, including menu planning, food preparation, delivery, setup, and cleanup for various events and operational requirements. Service specifications, menu types, quantities, and delivery times will be communicated via email. The scope includes provision of diverse dietary options such as Halaal and Vegan, reliable transport, and adherence to health and safety standards. The services will be procured on an "as-and-when" basis through work orders, with no fixed quantities specified upfront.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of high-quality catering services in line with specified menus and operational standards.
• Availability to respond to service requests within 24 hours.
• Provision of reliable transport for food and equipment.
• Compliance with health and safety legislation, including valid Certificates of Acceptability for Food Premises.
• Provision of resources such as well-maintained equipment and hygienic preparation areas.
• Clean-up of setup areas post-event without utilizing ERWAT’s internal kitchen facilities.
• Adherence to dietary diversity standards, including Halaal and Vegan options.
• Provision of menus and pricing as per the detailed pricing schedule.

• Proven experience in delivering professional catering services.
• Capacity to handle multiple service requests promptly and efficiently.
• Qualified personnel with knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health standards.
• Access to resources such as functional kitchen equipment and transport vehicles.

• Capability to provide reference letters and business profiles demonstrating previous successful catering engagements.
